Makerspace in the public library, opened by the President

DreamSpace Academy co-created it with the Municipal Council at the Batticaloa Public Library, and the President of Sri Lanka inaugurated it.

When: During 2026
Where: Batticaloa
Format: Opening
With: Batticaloa Municipal Council

DreamSpace Academy and the Batticaloa Municipal Council co-created a makerspace at the Batticaloa Public Library. The President of Sri Lanka inaugurated it, and DreamSpace Academy presented its work at the opening.

The makerspace is open to anyone who walks in, at no charge to users, and the municipality, not DreamSpace Academy, owns it.

In February 2019 DreamSpace Academy advertised a community library open to all and asked parents to bring their children in to use it.
