Visit, 2025

UN Resident Coordinator visits

Marc-André Franche, UN Resident Coordinator in Sri Lanka, toured the ventures and the workshop floor.

When: 7 April 2025
Where: Batticaloa
Format: Partner visit
With: United Nations in Sri Lanka

Marc-André Franche, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Sri Lanka, visited on 7 April 2025.

He saw the grassroots innovations, the ventures that grew out of the academy’s programmes, and the challenge-based learning they come from. It is the most senior United Nations visit the academy has on record.

It is recorded as a visit and nothing more. No funding, no agreement and no programme followed from it.
