Build a Robot workshops

Children built robots in teams in two July sessions, with a one-day follow-up in August.

When: 10 July 2025
Where: Batticaloa
Format: Workshop, run twice, plus a one-day run

DreamSpace Academy ran Build a Robot on 10 and 12 July 2025, with a further one-day workshop on 13 August.

Participants worked in teams to build robots from the ground up. The August workshop took the same group further, into the electronics and programming behind a line-following car: design it, build it, program it, race it.

Build a Robot is the entry point to the academy’s learning pathway. Several of the people in the November certificate ceremony started here.
