Cyclone Ditwah brought severe flooding to Sri Lanka at the end of November 2025. DreamSpace Academy, through the DreamSpace Foundation and with local partners, ran relief across the East and North into December.
The relief work, place by place:
- Kathiraveli, with Kathira Greens: thirty-five displaced Vedda families originally from Kallarippu received dry food and mosquito nets, and sixty-three families were supported through a medical camp and activities for children’s wellbeing.
- Poovarasan Theevu and Samaajan Theevu, with the United Catalyst Network: more than sixty families received dry food, hygiene products and medicines.
- Kunchaankulam, Vakarai, with Manitha Neyam Trust, Kathira Greens and individual supporters: seventy-plus families received dry rations and a medical camp.
- Mulliyawalai, Mullaitivu, with Aravanai and the ITEE Foundation: thirty-two families were supported.
- Kumulamunai centre, Mullaitivu, with Ocean Star: more than thirty families were supported.
DreamSpace Academy is not an emergency-response organisation. The partners named above are part of the network its work has built over years.
