Learn to Discern, 2024 series

Seven more media-literacy workshops, in Jaffna, Mullaitivu and Batticaloa.

When: 1 June 2024
Where: Jaffna, Mullaitivu and Batticaloa
Format: Workshop series, seven deliveries
With: IREX, USAID Sri Lanka

DreamSpace Academy continued the Learn to Discern series through 2024. Photographs record seven more workshops:

Jaffna, on 1 and 2 June
Mullaitivu, on 29 September and 21 December
further sessions on 9 November and on 16 and 18 December, including a five-day workshop in Batticaloa

Navigate, the academy’s own centre in Mullaitivu, coordinated the workshops. They used the curriculum IREX developed under its PRO-INFO programme, with support from USAID. Participants learn to spot misinformation and to judge what they are being shown.

The series reached new districts in 2024.
