Milestone, 2024

GIZ hands over 3D printers

GIZ gave the makerspace 3D printers, and the academy trained potters in 3D printer assembly.

GIZ handed over 3D printing machines to the makerspace in October 2024.

In November the academy delivered foundational training in 3D printer assembly for pottery workers in the Eastern Province, so that an established craft could take up the technology instead of being displaced by it.

A handover alone does not show that equipment is used. In this case there is evidence that it was.
