Programme, 2024

Digital Security School: training the trainers

Trainers learned cybersecurity, digital risk assessment and safe practice, for Sri Lankan media professionals.

The Digital Security School ran its first trainer-of-trainers programme from 25 August 2024, and a second from 16 to 19 October.

Trainers from a range of backgrounds learned cybersecurity, digital risk assessment and safe online practice, with the content adapted for Sri Lankan media professionals. The second programme opened with a recap and a working session on the curriculum and materials, in which the trainers shaped what they would go on to teach.

The school is the academy’s role in IREX’s PRO-INFO programme, with technical assistance from eQualitie and support from USAID Sri Lanka.
