Programme, 2023

Training the teacher trainers

Directors and deputy directors of education zones worked through technology and design teaching methods.

DreamSpace Academy ran two linked workshops in April 2023: one for teachers on technology and design teaching methods, and one for teacher trainers, the directors and deputy directors of the Batticaloa education zones and of the Provincial Department of Education for the Eastern Province.

The Electromechanics Lab and SteamHead co-designed the curriculum. It focused on teaching protocols and produced a set of methods the zones could go on using without the academy.

More photographs survive from these workshops than from any other activity in 2023. What the in-school programme later teaches is built on them.
