Programme, 2023

FungiScope bootcamp

Bio-lab work with a microscope built for fungi, continuing the academy's research on mycelium.

DreamSpace Academy ran a bio-lab bootcamp in December 2023 using the FungiScope, a microscope built for looking at fungi. It continued the research on mycelium, the root-like threads a fungus grows, which began with the mycology workshop in March 2022 and the biomaterials session at Dinacon that July.

The bio lab depends on open-source scientific hardware: equipment whose designs are shared freely so that anyone can build or repair it.
