Milestone, 2023

COP28

A changemaker from this pathway represented Sri Lanka at the climate conference in Dubai.

When: December 2023
Where: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Format: International representation

Jayanthan Amalanathan, who came through the pathway with Trash for Trade and later founded SPM Industries, represented Sri Lanka at COP28 in Dubai.

He is one of the first two changemakers to come through the pathway, in 2020: the HackaDev seed grant, Trash for Trade, the plastics work, the SLASSCOM award. Four years later he represented his country at a United Nations climate conference.

This is one person’s story, not a rate. There is not yet a way to measure how often the pathway takes somebody that far.
