Visit, 2023

Canadian diaspora delegation visits

One of several Canadian-linked visits across 2023 and 2024.

When: 11 May 2023
Where: Batticaloa
Format: Visit

A Canadian diaspora team visited in May 2023.

Links with the diaspora, people with Sri Lankan roots living abroad, come up again and again in the academy’s history. DreamSpace Academy delivers the Uki programme with Aravanai Canada, and the artist who headlined the Jaffna concert later that year is Tamil-Canadian.
