SLASSCOM Ingenuity, Emerging Women Technopreneur

Trash for Trade won for the Northern Province, and placed second in the sustainable-development category.

Format: National award

Trash for Trade won Emerging Women Technopreneur of the Year for the Northern Province at the 2022 SLASSCOM Ingenuity Awards, and came second for the Best UN17 Sustainable Development Goal Initiative or Software Solution in the information-technology sector. Abitharani Jeyachandran accepted on the venture’s behalf.

The national technology-industry awards recognised the same plastics venture for a second year running, in different categories.
