Electromechanics at Cheddipalayam Maha Vidyalayam

A workshop at a well-resourced school twenty kilometres from Batticaloa that needed people to teach the subject.

When: 11 October 2022
Where: Cheddipalayam, Batticaloa
Format: School workshop

The Electromechanics Lab ran a workshop on fundamental electromechanics at Cheddipalayam Maha Vidyalayam in October 2022. The school, twenty kilometres from Batticaloa town, was well resourced but did not have enough people able to teach the subject.

The need was for teachers, not equipment. The in-school programme that runs in two districts three years later is built on teacher training for that reason, and not on donated hardware.
