Programme, 2022

Changemaker discovery workshops

Workshops for shortlisted applicants in two districts, the first step into the twelve-month programme.

DreamSpace Academy ran changemaker discovery workshops in October 2022 for shortlisted applicants to the third cohort under Project AISLE: at the DreamSpace Hive for applicants from Batticaloa, and at the Sarvodaya District Centre for applicants from Ampara.

Discovery is the first of the programme’s three stages. A person who comes through it is a changemaker candidate: they have shown they are motivated, but they have not built anything yet.

A candidate becomes a changemaker at the next stage. To get there, they produce a solution to a problem raised by the community. A real user who is not on the project team has to test it, and someone has to depend on it.
