Programme, 2021

Bio Lab session

Bench work in the bio lab, set up as a community lab.

A bio-lab session ran in June 2021, in the same collaboration that ran the space-biology missions.

Cris Silva, then Head of the Lab, was building what was described as the first community bio lab in Sri Lanka. The stated aim was to help build a biotechnology industry in the country.

That September the lab offered a way in to people who had wanted to work in biology but had found no place for it in the education system.

This was one session. It does not show what runs in that lab today.
