Generation Unlimited Youth Challenge, top three nationally

The underwater glider pitch placed in the national top three.

When: 27 August 2020
Where: Sri Lanka
Format: National challenge
With: UNICEF, UNDP

Shanjeevan Amalanathan and a fellow maker pitched the underwater glider, and UNICEF and UNDP selected it in the top three nationally in the Generation Unlimited Youth Challenge.

The glider came off the academy’s workshop floor. The following year it was named in the Parliament of Sri Lanka.

The glider is a prototype. A prototype that impressed judges and legislators is not the same as a solution somebody depends on, and DreamSpace Academy does not claim the second.
