First logged delivery, Pullumalai school workshop

DreamSpace Academy ran a school workshop at Pullumalai for more than fifty participants, the first entry in its activity log.

When: 31 March 2019
Where: Pullumalai, Batticaloa
Format: School workshop
Who was there: 50 or more, as recorded
With: BOOKBRIDGE

DreamSpace Academy ran a school workshop at Pullumalai on 31 March 2019 for more than fifty participants, with funding from BOOKBRIDGE. It is the first delivery in the activity log.

Periyapullumalai is a border village outside Batticaloa. It faces land encroachment, human-elephant conflict and poverty, and it needs better transport, water supply and schooling.

The team carried on weekend sessions in the village through June, covering English, goal-setting, physical recreation and the basics of hands-on making. The village appears in the log again for years afterwards.
