The chess programme

Chess coaching for children, opening with the history of the game.

Thanoochkumar Thayaleswararajah began chess coaching in late June 2019 and opened the first class with the history of the game.

The reasons given at the time were that chess builds concentration, planning and thinking ahead, and that it gives children something to hold their attention away from a phone.
