Programme, 2019

The Access Programme

The academy's first ongoing programme: English, computing, hands-on making, life skills and leadership, run in batches.

Format: Programme, run in batches

Until then the academy had run single events. The Access Programme was its first programme that kept running. It ran in batches: a second batch started in May 2019 and further batches ran through June.

It combined English language skills, computing, hands-on making, life-skills activity and leadership. The first groups learned the parts of a computer and what its keys did.

An information-technology strand for children and a certified musical instruments programme ran alongside it.
