Opening, 2024

Navigate: public opening

A digital community technology hub opened, four months after it started teaching.

The Navigate digital community technology hub opened publicly at the end of September 2024, two months after the handover and four months after delivery began.

Navigate is one of the academy’s own units and provides targeted technology skills training. It went on to coordinate most of the media-literacy series, run bootcamps in Mullaitivu, and train local leaders in digital skills.

Three openings (the makerspace, Navigate, Hatton) followed the same order: teaching first, opening second.
